Additional Features of RV 10 Rotary Evaporators
Rotating evaporators provide four times the distillation efficiency compared to conventional distillation devices. The rotating function of rotary evaporators increases the surface area of the vessel and speeds up the distillation process. IKA takes this to a higher level by offering variants that widen the breadth of functionality, safety and use of the RV 10 Series. For labs performing complex and demanding distillation processes, there is the RV 10 Digital and the RV 10 Control.
Configurations
- V (Vertical): includes vertical glassware
- V-C: includes coated shatterproof glassware; provides added safety
- Auto Models: automated Boiling Point Detection, Speed Control Pump and 10 program functions
- Dry Ice Condenser (standard and coated): for distilling low-boiling point solvents with an option for a shatterproof coated model ("C") for added safety
- FLEX: does not include glassware; allows customization of glassware setup for specific applications

RV 10 Basic Features
- Includes: vertical glassware (standard or coated), analog water/oil heating bath with built-in carrying handles and adjustable safety circuit, "stand alone" operation is possible, pivoting safety hood as an accessory, Woulff bottle to protect vacuum pump against solvent condensation
- Available with Dry Ice Condenser for distilling solvents with low-boiling points
- Ergonomic design of front control unit for safe and simple operation
- Motorized lift (stroke 140 mm) with "safety stop" function, evaporator flask automatically lifted out of the heating bath in event of power failure
- Adjustable end position recognition protects the glass from breaking
- Speed range from 20 to 280 rpm
- Smooth start from 100 rpm
- Digital speed display
- Left- right interval operation rotates clockwise and counterclockwise for the drying process
- Timer function for time lapse control
- Optimized bath volumes for quick heating
- Push-off mechanism loosens tight fitting flasks
